Events
The soviet's invaded to support communist government. Afghans moved out of country for safety, Hijra (Arabic word for flight), and conscription.
The Soviet's receded back to Russia so native Afghans felt it was safe to come home. They came home and found that a civil war arose.
Third wave begins due to the takeover of the harsh Taliban.
countries allied with the Northern Alliance helped bomb Taliban central places in Afghanistan. The most migration in this wave was internal to avoid bombing.
First wave of migration begins with the invasion of the Soviet Union.
Second wave of migration begins due to the Soviet's receding back to Russia
