19 July 1873: Uluru was named Ayers Rock
1950: Ayers Rock was declared a national park
1958: Ayers Rock and Mt Olga were removed from the Aboriginal reserve
24 May 1977: Ayers Rock Mt Olga National Park was declared
1978: Northern Territory Parks and Wildlife Service officers ran the park
November 1983: The Hawke Labor Government announces amendment
26 October 1985: Ayers Rock was renamed Uluru by the Governor General of Australia
1995: Ayers Rock Mt Olga National Park was renamed
1979: The Anangu people could not claim land around Ayers Rock (Uluru) and Mt Olga (Kata Tjuta)
