On Febuary 10th, Obama announced his candidacy for the presidency of the United States in Springfield, Illinois. He then starts his fundraising and campaigning for his election.
Obama was born in hawaii on Agust 4th, 1961 and met all the eligibility guidelines set by the Constitution.
He was elected into the senate on january 3rd, 2005 until november 16, 2008 when he resigned for presidency. This was his first step in exposing himself in the political world. One of his main ways in "testing the waters" was determining his polictical popularity through the senate.
