1750 - The 13 colonies stretch along the east coast of North America.
1763 - French and Indian war ends.
1765 - Stamp act is imposed by the sugar act
1769 - George III comes to power as King of Great Britain and Ireland.
1765 - British's first parliamentary attempt to raise revenue through direct taxation of all colonial commercial, and legal papers, newspapers, pamphlets, cards, almanacs, and dice.
1776 - Parliament repealed the stamp act.
1764 - Parliament passes the sugar act
1773 - Boston Tea Party takes place, Men diguised as Native americans boarded 3 ships and dumped british tea
1774 - New laws are passed to punish the colonists for the troubles they had caused
July 4 1776 - Colonists adopt the decleration of independince
April 19, 1775 - Revolutionary war begins
September 3, 1783 - The revolutionary war ends
