1973 Alexander Holevo Alexander Holevo publishes a paper show that quantum bits (qubits) cannot carry more information then classic bits
1973 Charles H. Bennet Shows that computing can be done reversibly
1981 Richard Feynman Shows that it is impossible to do a general simulate an evolution of a quantum system on a classical system. He proposes a model of a quantum computer capable of such simulations.
1991 Artur Ekert Artur Ekert discovers entanglement based secure communications
1998 Jonathan A. Jones and Michele Mosca Are the first people to run a simulation on a 2 Qubit NMR quantum computer and is used to solve Deutsche’s problem.
2018 Google Google announces creation of first 72 Qubit chip setting world record for fastest quantum chip
