1955 Whirlwind Machine was the first digital computer with magnetic core RAM, introduced by MIT. Used to store temporary data.
1967 In Dr. Robert Dennard invented the dynamic RAM Memory replacing magnetic-core memory in computers called DRAM.
1969 Intel released its first product, the 3101 Schottky TTL bipolar 64-bit static random-access memory (SRAM). In the same year, Intel released the 3301 Schottky bipolar 1024-bit read-only memory (ROM).
1971 at Intel, Dov Frohman invented and patented the EPROM
1978 George Perlegos with Intel developed the Intel 2816, the first EEPROM
1975 Apple 1 ran at just 1.023 MHz. Its 4KB of RAM was expandable to 8KB or 48KB.
1994 CompactFlash is introduced by SanDisk and becomes the preferred memory storage option
