The MP3 format was released in 1999. Today this format is usually used for songs. You are not able to view the video with the audio in this format.
The browser used on Apple computers called 'Safari' was released in 2003. It has had 6 different versions released since then with the last version being release in 2011. (5.1)
Google chrome was released in 2008. It has had 20 different versions since its release with the last update in 2012. Google chrome allows different themes and addons. That with the care and frequent updates contributes to its massive success.
The social media sites Pinterest and Instagram are launched.
YouTube.com launches. The social news site Reddit is also founded.
