November 27, 2017 The nurse, pharmacy, and physician managers meet once again with the head of Hospital X to receive orientation for the official policy change procedures.
December 6, 2017 Nurse, pharmacy, and physician managers hold A.M. and P.M. meetings within their departments to introduce the new medication administration policies that will take effect on January 1, 2018 (AHRQ, 2014).
January 1, 2018 The new policy reguarding medication administration takes effect.
July 1, 2018 End of the 6 month trial period: Data is collected and compared to previous data to determine the effectiveness of the new policy in preventing medication administration errors.
April 1, 2018 A committee will be formed to gather and analyze all of the results at the conclusion of the trial period.
