1896- Anglo Nubian was recognized as a breed
1896- Does were starting to be imported into America, but most of these imports were lost to the breed the import of three animals; a buck and twin does.
1913- Mr. J.R. Gregg imported another buck and doe into America
1918 Anglo was dropped from the name and 40 animals were registered as 'Purebred Nubian'
1933- A rule against horned animals was adopted
2017- Breed is known for hardiness, and high butterfat content
2002- the American Dairy Goat Association, which registers some 40,000 goats annually, had already registered nearly 16,000 Nubian goats through the third quarter.
