Michael John Davies was born on the 9th of July 1790
Michael John Davies died at he age of 83 on the 27th December 1873
Michael John Davies was transported to Australia as a convict on the Florentia for larceny. He was sentenced to 7 years of jail on the 11th August 1830.
Arrival date of ship which was on the 12 December 1830
Married Hannah Benjamin Davies on the 18th December 1810
In August 1839 he again applied for a publicans license for the "Family Hotel" in George Street Sydney and this was granted, later moving to Pitt Street and called the "Horse and Jockey".
Throughout the 1850s and 1860s Michael was variously described as a crockery dealer and publican and in June 1862 he advertised himself as an agent for settling debts between debtors and creditors.
