In February 1951, Farouk officially announced his engagement to Narriman. They were married on May 6

On January 16, 1952, Narriman gave birth to Farouk’s only son, Ahmad Fouad. Same year Nassar leads successful coup, and Farouk is forced to abdicate

Farouk takes 22-year-old Annamaria Gatti to a restaurant. After dinner, he smokes then collapses at the table. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead just after midnight.
