Born: October 21, 1833 in Stockholm, Sweden.
Moved to Saint Petersburg in 1837 where his family grew successful.
From the time period of 1842-1843 Alfred Nobel attended the Jacbos Apologistic School in Stockholm
Went to Paris in 1850 where he met Ascanio Sobrero who designed nitroglycerin 3 years earlier.
Made the his first patent on a gas meter he designed in 1857.
Received his first Sweden-approved patent on "ways to prepare gunpowder" in 1863.
September 3, 1864 a nitroglycerin shed exploded.
1875, Alfred Nobel created gelignite; a more powerful version of dynamite.
Alfred Nobel invented dynamite in 1867. This was patented in the US & UK.
Elected member of Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences is 1884.
Received honorary doctorate from the The University of Uppsala in 1893.
December 10, 1891 Alfred Nobel died from a hear alignment in Italy.
