Achilles kills Penthesilea and falls in love with her beauty. Thersites mocks Achilles and Achilles kills him. Achilles and Odysseus journey to Lesbos so that Odysseus can purify Achilles of his crime.
Memnon arrives at Troy
Memnon kills Antilochus, and is then killed by Achilles
Achilles storms the gates of Troy and enters the city. He is killed after Paris shoots him with an arrow. There is a huge battle for Achilles' body. Greater Ajax holds off the Trojans while Odysseus carries off the body.
A contest is held between Odysseus and Greater Ajax over Achilles' armour. A jury of Trojan prisoners judge Odysseus as more deserving, which drives Ajax mad with rage so that he kills cattle, thinking the animals are the Greek kings.
Ajax comes to his senses and feels so guilty that he falls on his sword.
Philoctetes is cured and kills Paris
Odysseus enters Troy in disguise and is recognised by Helen, but she regrets leaving with Paris and helps him formulate a plan to take the Palladium
Odysseus comes up with the Trojan Horse plan and the horse is built
The horse is finished and filled with soldiers, including Odysseus and Diomedes, while the other Greeks sail for the island of Tenedos
The wooden horse is dragged inside the city while the citizens decide what to do with it. Assuming the war is over, the Trojans celebrate.
As the Greeks sail back from Tenedos at nightfall, the soldiers in the horse exit and kill the guards. The city gates are opened and the Greeks attack and raze the city to the ground.
Lesser Ajax rapes Cassandra in Athena's temple, but is spared from punishment against Odysseus' advice because he escaped to Athena's altar.
Agamemnon and Menelaus argue about their voyage home. Diomedes and Nestor decide to leave straight away.
Diomedes is caught in a storm and lands in Libya, where he and his men are imprisoned by King Lycus, who plans on sacrificing Diomedes to Ares.
Diomedes and his men are freed by Lycus' daughter Callirhoe, who asks Diomedes to marry her. Diomedes refuses as he is already married, but agrees to let Callirhoe come with him to avoid the wrath of her father.
Diomedes arrives back in Argos but is met by Aegialia and denied entry. He is forced to set sail again.
Diomedes lands in Aetolia and stays in several kingdoms
Diomedes decides that he and his people must move elsewhere to start a new kingdom and they set sail again
Diomedes lands in Aetolia and seeks amnesty from King Daunus, who asks for his help defeating the Messapians
Diomedes gathers his troops and fights and defeats the Messapians
Daunus gives Diomedes land and his daughter, Euippe, to marry
Venulus, a messenger from Turnus of the Rutulians, asks Diomedes for help in their campaign against Aeneas and his Trojans. Diomedes declines to help as he no longer wishes for glory in war - he has seen more than enough war for one lifetime.
