Descrizione:

Cause (International): a long period of militarism in different countries, secret alliances, and strong imperialism and nationalism caused instability throughout the whole world, and it all collapsed with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife by a Serbian nationalist terrorist.

Effect (International): Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia, and this was followed by a long chain of war declarations that resulted in WWI.

Cause (Domestic): Japan had been an ally of Britain since 1902. Leading up to WWI, they also felt that Germany's warlike preparations threatened Japanese commerce and they also had no affection for Russia.

Effect (Domestic): Japan declared War on Germany and sided with the Allies, and they also placed the sole blame on Germany for the cause of the War.
