16 gen 1919 anni - 18th Amendment (Jan 16, 1919) The 18th Amendment made the manufacture, sale, and transportation of alcohol illegal. However, it did not outlaw drinking or possession of it. It ended up causing many illegal operations to pop up, selling alcohol. It was repealed in 1933.
