In July 1687, an English scientist named Isaac Newton published a work entitled "Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy."
This book would go on to be one of the most important works in the history of science. Building his ideas on previous works, Newton was the first person to properly define the principles of natural physics.
Among other things, Newton was the first to introduce the idea of gravity, the Three Laws of Motion, the color spectrum, and even the concept of calculus - a particular type of maths used in engineering.
In the years after Newton's life and the publication of his most famous work, he is considered one of the most influential scientists of all time, changing the way humans looked at the physics of the Universe forever.
