In Great Britain farming techniques and technology started in the mid-1700s. As a result more food was made in less time with less work being done. Food became cheaper because more was being made. During the agricultural revolution farming techniques like having common land and the three crop rotation system were improved. Now we had private land and a four crop rotation system. Food quality was improved and people moved to urbanized areas. Machines were also improved, for example instead of hand sowing seeds you could just use the Jethro Tull seed drill. This increased the amount of food made in less time with less people working.
