Mexican-American War (25 avr. 1846 – 2 févr. 1848)
Description:
On May 9, 1846, Mexico fired the first shots at the American people; on May 13, Congress voted in favor of war. On September 14, American troops took control of the Mexican capital. In the end, Mexico ceded and gave up around 500,000 miles of land to the US. THe main reason they went to war was because the US wanted more land and Mexico didn't want to give it to them.
