The Byzantine Empire was a aristocracy and bureaucracy. The inherited those types of governments from the roman empire. The Byzantine Empire mostly practiced christianity. The Byzantine Empire was located in the city Constantinople which is located on the southern part of Europe. They are located between the black sea and the Mediterranean sea. Constantine the Great was a leader for the Byzantine Empire. He helped rebuild the city into a imperial capital city. Another good leader was Justinian. He helped by helping rewrite to roman law which some of the laws are still used today. 306-337 AD The Emperor Constantine. 527-565 AD The Emperor of Justinian. 690 AD Muslims conquer Byzantine North Africa. 330 AD Byzantine Empire was founded. 1453 Byzantine Empire ended. The ottoman army defeated the byzantine. The Byzantine Empire started in 330 AD and ended in 1453 AD.
