Taiping Rebellion (1 oct. 1850 – 1 janv. 1874)
Description:
Hong Xiuquan leads a peasant rebellion after failing out of the testing system multiple times. He began his own Christian based religion and moved his followers into Nanjing, destroying and pillaging the city. Although the rebels called themselves the Heavenly Kingdom of Transcendent Peace, it is estimated that at least 20 million people died in this affair.
