Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad (2 janv. 1820 – 10 mars 1913)
Description:
Harriet Tubman was an escaped slave that lived from circa 1820 to March 10, 1913. She escaped north in 1849. A few years after she escaped, she went back to rescue her friends and family. She used something known as the Underground Railroad. The Underground Railroad was a series of routes and pathways leading to the north for freedom. Many slaves used this system to escape. Harriet Tubman would become to be known as the conductor of the Underground Railroad, as she helped hundreds of slaves escape without losing a single person. She also was an abolitionist (obviously) and advocated for black rights and emancipation for slaves.
