Imperial College of Engineering set up (1 janv. 1873 – 31 déc. 1873)
Description:
The government set up this college to educate the Japanese population. The government recognized the importance of understanding the technology they imported and not just being able to use it, and educating their population enabled the people to continue developing Western technology.
