Description:
On that day in 1961, Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin became the first human in space, making a 108-minute orbital flight in his Vostok 1 spacecraft. I feel that this is important to history because it was the first time we got a look into what else could be out there and not only was it great for U.S history. but the whole earths.
