Description:
The Harlem Renaissance was an African American cultural movement from 1920's to 1930's which was centered in the unofficial capital of African American culture, Harlem. This was a time where African American literature, music and art flourished. They took pieces from their culture in Africa and added new modern ideas. Jazz and Blues were two types of music that were very popular during this time.
