Description:
The Spanish American war was mostly about the independence of Cuba. It had been fighting for independence from Spain for a long time and America wanted to help. Before the war really started Spain upset America with the Lome Letter and the explosion Spain got blamed of at the U.S.S. Maine ship. America won the war and Cuba became an independent country at that time.
