Evaluating work release programs
Description:
Requests the Department of Public Safety and Corrections to conduct a study of the state's work release programs, evaluate the number of work release beds available at the federal, state and local levels is commensurate with the inmate population and whether the locations of the beds best provides services to the inmate population, evaluate successful job placements following work release, and to provide recommendations for more effective reentry programs.
