A major sea and air battle that occured in 1942 between the Japanese and U.S forces that resulted in over 92 aircrafts destroyed. The battle lasted only 4 days yet caused a lot of damage on both sides and resulted in the Japanese invasion being repelled. Started May 4, 1942 and, ended May 8, 1942
