Description:
After hearing about the attack, the men of New Ulm fastly constructed barricades. About 100 Dakota warriors attack New Ulm at 3:00pm. After two hours of fighting they stop due to the rain. After word of the fight, Sibley gathers his forces, mostly untrained settlers, and heads up the valley in pursuit of the Dakota.
