Description:
Life on the reservation was difficult for the Dakota, because they were hungry the annuity payments were late. On August 18th 1862 the Dakota warriors attacked the lower Sioux Agency and they killed traders and government workers. Some of the Dakota chose not to fight, but mostly young men fought.
