Description:
Dakota soldiers surround the town of new ulm. The war moved into the middle of the town. Little Crow's men set fires by the river causing worry and confusion. After hours of fighting the defenders make a desperate charge setting the house the Dakota were taking cover behind on fire. At sunset the dakota retreat leaving many townspeople injured and killed.
