The Current life situation was not good for the Dakota on the reservation There was bad living conditions and little food.. On August 17, four young Dakota men kill five European settlers. Later the Dakota leader Little crow agrees to lead the fight and on August 18 Dakota warriors attack the Lower Sioux agency Killing Traders and Government workers. Most of the Warriors were young Dakota Although most Dakota don’t fight.
