Description:
Lead by the SNCC and SCLC, 500 protestors set off on a march from Selma to Montgomery. They were stopped on a bridge on the way out of the former, where they were attacked by police. This was all captured by journalists, who sparked nationwide outrage and hundreds of protests in other cities.
