Description:
Italian troops from Somalia invaded Ethiopia and its city Walwal, violating the Italio-Abyssinian Treaty of Friendship. A two-week faceoff followed, between the Italians and Ethiopians. This caused a stalemate in the League of Nations in regards to reparations because neither side would pay. This invasion led to the Second Italian-Abyssinian War.
