Description:
Parliament passed the Coercive Acts as a response to the Boston Tea Party. Also known as the Intolerable Acts, they punished Massachusetts. An example of a punishment was that they banned the loading and unloading of ships at Boston Harbor. This also led to the 2nd Quartering Act which was another punishment.
