Description:
The Eighteenth Amendment established the prohibition of alcohol in the US. This amendment said that the production, transport, and sale of alcohol was illegal. This lead to organized crime during this time period. Many people found ways to not only drink alcohol but even sell it. Even police found ways to drink when they were supposed to be stopping the drinking. It was put into effect on January 17th, 1920.
