6 févr. 1862 - Fort Henry
Description:
February 6, 1862: The Union attacked Fort Henry in Tennessee. Confederate Brig. General Lloyd Tilghman secretly moved some of his men to nearby Fort Donelson. Ten days after the fall of Fort Henry, Fort Donelson was captured. This was important because the Union had cut off access to two key waterways for the Confederates to use the rest of the war.
