Description:
On august 3rd the Santa Maria, the Pinta, and the Nina set sail on the Atlantic Ocean. On October 12th, they sight land which they thought was Asia but was really the Bahamas. Columbus ends up taking three more trips to the Americas. These expeditions led to Columbus discovering various Caribbean islands, the Gulf of Mexico, and the South and Central American mainlands
