US President George W. Bush invaded Iraq, claiming to go to free the Iraqi people from Saddam Hussein's reign of terror. He mainly wanted to remove weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. After invaded the country, they captured Hussein and sentenced him to death by hanging. After his death, the US discovered that there were no nuclear weapons as they had thought. The countries then went to war.
