1 avr. 1648 - Spring 1648- Parliament refused to approve the government's revenue. They were trying to limit the monarchy's (Louis XIV) power by establishing Parliament's power to discuss and modify royal decrees. This set off the first phase of the Fronde (the Fronde of the Parliament).
