15 sept. 1950 - Attack on Inchon
Description:
By September 1950, the UN forces were ready to attack and General MacArthur, a World War II hero, placed in charge of the troops decided to launch a surprise attack at the port of Inchon, a treacherous place that would not have been an expected site, as he believed that the rapid advance of the North Korean troops left North Korea with limited supply lines. U.S. Marines landed at Inchon and attacked on September 15th and communist forces began fleeing for the North Korean border. By October 1950, the North Koreans had been driven north of the 38th parallel.
