Description:
US President Roosevelt takes measures to prepare for the U.S. possibly entering WWII if Europe falls to Nazism. He increases defense spending. He also creates a draft under the Selective Service Act. This is the first draft ever during peacetime in the U.S. Under the draft, men ages 21-35 register for the draft (about 16 million) and 1 million of those will be drafted to fight. However the draft is only intended for fighting in the Western Hemisphere.
