Description:
Extension of the NLA to urban areas - two main aims:
1. Compulsory residential segregation of Africans in urban areas
2. Compulsory registration of service contracts and control over African influx into urban areas
Amended in 1930 to enable local authorities to prohibit entry into urban areas
