5 mars 1770 - The Boston Massacre

Description:

The Boston Massacre happened on March 5, 1770, when a group of colonists began harassing a group of British soldiers and began throwing snowballs at them, which escalated into shots being fired into the crowd of colonists, killing 5 people. The colonists quickly spread the story and printed it on every major newspaper. They used it as colonial propaganda, labeling it as a massacre to paint the British in a negative and evil light. This was very quickly blown out of proportion and used to push the colonial message of separation from Britain; it was a big factor in pushing the colonies toward revolution.
