29 mai 1832 - Lincoln re-enlists in the Black Hawk war

Description:

He served with a company when General Henry Atkinson detached Captain Iles' command to ride north away from the Ottawa up along the Kellogg Trail and then he was supposed to reopen the communications with Galena which had been out of his touch or reach with the rest of the world since the Felix St. Vrain Massacre occurred. As part of this movement, Iles’ company and Abraham spent an overnight at the Apple River Fort. About a week before Black Hawk's attack against that strongpoint later in June. On June 16, Lincoln was mustered out.
