Description:
The First Battle of Bull Run was on the 21st of july of 1861. It was the first major battle in the Civil War. It was caused by the Union who led a march of 35,000 soldiers to Virginia to strike a Confederate force of 20,000 soldiers. After fighting for most of the day the confederates were established as victorious shocking many of the North. They began to think that this war wouldn't be so easy to win after all.
