They were the first battles of the revolutionary war between Britain and the colonist. The first battle in Lexington was against 70 colonist and 700 British redcoats but the colonist lost. The battle in Concord was successful because of Paul Revere yelling “ the Redcoats are coming , the redcoats are coming” by that it let's the colonist know that they are coming and the battle was won by the colonist.
