Description:
Disproved spontaneous generation theory by conducting a controlled experiment: one jar with meat inside was left open, the other jar of meat closed. By the end of the experiment, he proved that the maggots did not come out of the meat and instead came from flies that laid eggs on the meat in the open jar.
