24 mars 1765 - Quartering Act

Description:

On 1765, Parliament passed the Quartering Act which allowed the British to live in barracks provided by the colonies. If there wasn't enough barracks, the soldiers were to relocate to nearby storage facilities and abandoned homes. Though the British soldiers did not bother the colonists, colonies such as New York did not like being commanded, and refused to follow the law. This stirred up a sense of tension that eventually led to the Boston Massacre.
