Description:
Hitler runs for President for the first time, in where the same year sees Paul Von Hindenburg, current President of the Weimar, to retract his decision to retire (at age 84) and re-run for the same position.
Hindenburg would go on to secure the vote, appointing Franz Von Papen as German Chancellor. Papen was not heavily favoured for the role however, so appointing Karl Von Schleicher instead (military peer of Hindenburg.)
Hitler refused any other role other than Chancellor. At this point, Papen and Hindenburg felt that this could be attainable, for they would 'control' him when put into that position. Therefore, Von Papen would succeed as Vice Chancellor.
