Description:
Due to the beheading of several thousand people, Robespierre was already a disliked and scary individual. However, when the National Assembly discovered that he was using this method to eliminate his political opponents, Robespierre was quickly outnumbered with enemies than allies. On this date, Robespierre and his associates were sentenced to the guillotine. The mass slaughterings had stopped.
